In this episode, Phillip welcomes renowned landscape painter Claire Sherman to the show to share her thoughts on the word apocalypse, and the songs she would put on her Apocalypse Mixtape. Clare's solo exhibition Proximity, which opened at Patron Gallery in Chicago on July 17, 2021, was one of the first art exhibitions to welcome back in-person viewers since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Claire’s paintings have been exhibited extensively around the world, including at KMAC Museum, Louisville; Suburban Riverwest, Milwaukee; the Institute of Contemporary Art at Maine College of Art, Portland; Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco; and the Neuberger Museum of Art, Purchase, NY. She is an Associate Professor at Drew University in New Jersey and is represented by DC Moore Gallery in New York and Patron Gallery in Chicago. @claire.g.sherman
